Planned, developed & executed internal and external communications efforts for the UNC-Chapel Hill Office of Human Resources (web, social media, email, informational campaigns, university events, branding, strategy, metrics)

  • Developed, tested and a maintained unit and divisional websites, including those for the Office of Human Resources; the Division of Human Resources and Equal Opportunity and Compliance; Welcome to Carolina Blue; and UNC Student Employment.
  • Lead web and social media initiatives for the Office of Human Resources
  • Editor and creator of digital newsletter “WorkWell,” sent to all UNC employees; the divisional digital newsletter “WSEE Community Connection;” and the HR/Payroll monthly digital newsletter
  • Assisted Senior Director and policy content owners in OHR to coordinate the maintenance and delivery of Human Resources initiatives including policy delivery, new employee orientation, professional development and employee recognition
  • Worked with units across the Office of Human Resources to maintain University policy, procedures, and forms.

2020 has focused on COVID-19 response, web accessibility, re-branding and elevating the brand of the division within the University, and a focus on the employee experience and employer brand.

Managed digital presence for both the cancer research center + the NC Cancer Hospital (media relations, clinical marketing, web, social media, email, fundraising campaigns, graphic design, videography, photography, research support)

  • Led efforts for both the Cancer Center & N.C. Cancer Hospital in email marketing, web and social media strategy to enhance the local, national and international reputation of UNC Lineberger and the NCCH
  • Worked with Development team to enhance UNC Lineberger’s online fundraising program and coordinate internal and external communication across UNC Lineberger and UNC Cancer Care, working with key clinical leadership at UNC Health Care
  • Managed up to two communications interns at a time
  • Served as primary videographer, video editor and multimedia graphic artist for UNC Lineberger and the NC Cancer Hospital
